The degree to which our entire system of unexamined “norms” is based upon corrupted ideals is an area of research desperately in need of attention. Having not grappled with this reality, the Church is complicit in the ongoing iniquity of our era. Perhaps Confession ought to be the most well attended and highly prioritized portion of our worship services.
